FORT SMITH – In an exciting move towards bolstering its academic leadership, Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) is actively seeking applications for the position of Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. This pivotal role will serve as the helm of the institution’s academic endeavors, guiding a community dedicated to healthcare education and wellness initiatives.

Founded in 2014, ACHE stands as a beacon of educational excellence, located on more than 500 acres in Fort Smith, Arkansas. ACHE prides itself on its commitment to both education and community service. With a focus on training a diverse group of compassionate healthcare professionals, particularly those who are eager to make a difference in underserved communities, ACHE is on the cusp of becoming a national and international leader in health sciences education.

This campus-based position demands exceptional communication skills and inspirational leadership. Charged with nurturing the academic community and harnessing the institution’s resources, including regional partnerships and research excellence, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping ACHE’s future. Moreover, with the imminent completion of the Research Institute Health and Wellness Center (RIHWC) in Fort Smith, ACHE will be recognized as a leader in health research initiatives in the country.

Effective August 1, 2024, the Provost/VPAA will provide academic leadership and guidance with a focus on mentorship, development, and effective communication. Administrative expertise, including strategic planning and budget oversight, will be essential in maintaining ACHE’s academic standards and achieving accreditation milestones. Additionally, the Provost/VPAA will spearhead faculty and staff recruitment, ensuring that ACHE remains at the forefront of educational innovation. The chosen candidate will prioritize the mission, vision, and goals of ACHE.
